Remote transport potential of chemicals - How can this substance property of concern be considered in the PBT assessment under REACH?
"Borderline" PBT substances are those for which at least one of the PBT criteria was narrowly missed (shortfall of up to 10 %, Matthies et al., submitted). By additionally considering the long range transport potential (LRTP), these substances can be assessed as PBT substances despite not fulfilling a numerical criterion (see article by J. Ackermann et al.).
