The Equal Opportunities in Chemistry Working Group (AKCC) was dissolved on 31 December 2017. This page serves as documentation and as a link to the resulting GDCh Commission on Equal Opportunities in Chemistry.
The "Arbeitskreis Chancengleichheit in der Chemie - Sektion in der GDCh" (AKCC) was a substructure of the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker and was initially founded on 24 March 2000 as a working group in Frankfurt, primarily to strengthen the position of women in chemistry at all levels. On 1 January 2003, the working group was transformed into a section, a specialist structure with statutory status.
Objectives and areas of work wereThe vote to dissolve the AKCC was held in 2017 with a deadline of 16 June.
