§1 The Executive Board of the Nuclear Chemistry Division decides to award a prize of the Division under the name "Nuclear Chemistry Division Prize".
§2 The prize is awarded to dedicated scientists with a doctorate who have distinguished themselves up to twelve years after their doctorate through outstanding, independent scientific work in the field of nuclear chemistry and who demonstrate international visibility in the field of research. Furthermore, achievements in teaching or special promotion of young scientists with measurable success or popular science communication or innovation are recognised.
§3 As a rule, the prize can be awarded every four years.
§4 All university lecturers and industry representatives with a related area of responsibility as well as members of the specialist group with a doctorate are eligible to nominate candidates. Self-applications are not permitted. The members of the Executive Board and Advisory Board of the specialist group decide on the selection by a simple majority of votes. In the event of a tie, the vote of the chair of the specialist group is decisive.
§5 Proposals must be submitted to the GDCh office in electronic form.● a detailed justification of the prize worthiness by the nominator
● a detailed curriculum vitae
● a list of independent scientific publications
● and / or evidence of special achievements in teaching, promotion of young scientists and / or science communication
§6 The prize includes an award certificate, which states the merits of the honouree, and prize money of 1500 euros
.§7 The award winner will report on the honoured work in an invited lecture at the specialist group conference.
§8 Amendments to these statutes are only possible with a 2/3 majority of the Specialist Group Executive Committee.
