This map shows each experimentally detected nuclide by means of a square in which the element symbol and the nucleon number A are shown. The nuclides have been arranged on the map so that the corresponding proton number Z is on the ordinate and the neutron number N = A - Z on the abscissa. The Karlsruhe Nuclide Map provides precise data on the half-lives, the decay types of the radionuclides and the energies of the radiation they emit. In addition to radiation protection, nuclear and radiochemistry and astrophysics, it is also used in the life and earth sciences (biology, medicine, agriculture, geology, etc.) and materials research.
The brochure with inserted folding map can be purchased in the Nuclide Shop of Nucleonica
