In odd-numbered years, the Macromolecular Chemistry Division of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) organises the University Workshop for Young Researchers, where prospective university lecturers from the field of polymer chemistry and related areas can present their research. The future winner of the next Reimund Stadler Prize will be chosen from among the participants, and two scholarships for young researchers will also be awarded, each endowed with 1000 euros.
The decision on the awarding of the junior scholarships is made by a selection committee appointed by the executive board of the specialist group.
